Welcome to When Christians Speak Talk Radio, a voice crying out in today’s wilderness “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.”
Rev. Ray is the Host and Founder of When Christians Speak Talk Radio and Christians Against Suicide And Depression Facebook Page
Rev. Ray T. Rose was born in Richmond, Virginia to Pastor Lucy Rose. He was tremendously influenced by his mother and many others in his faith and belief in Jesus Christ. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of twelve and was ordained as a Minister and preached his trial sermon at the age of thirteen. Rev. Ray strayed from the church over the years but in spite of him, the Lord never left him.
It took the passing of his oldest brother, Melvin, and fervent and effectual prayers unto the living God for Rev. Ray to come full circle, fall on his knees and repent. Rev. Ray has been a member of Tree of Life Christian Ministries since 2003 and is involved in many ministries. Rev. Ray has a deep passion and burden for Intercession and is actively involved in the Intercession Ministry. He also heads the Crisis Intervention and Resources Ministry (CIRM). Rev. Ray loves the people of the Most High God and has a great desire to be an available servant at any time God so desires to use Him for the edification of His Kingdom and His people.
Rev Ray loves to write songs, poems, short stories, plays and has recorded most of his dreams since the age of twelve. His favorite saying “Not by might nor by power; but by my Spirit says the Lord.” To God be the Glory!!
In a mission statement for my life 15 years ago I wrote this statement: “My heart is turned strongly toward evangelism. I want to use all of my God-given gifts in music, drama, counseling and administration to evangelize a lost and dying world.” (I can now add the gift of teaching and writing, which I struggled to receive.) In 1995 through the loss of my only sister, God called me back to the east coast to continue my journey. Through much suffering and loss I have learned to be content in all things, to persevere, and to love through reaching out with much compassion to those who are hurting. One of the greatest lessons learned on this journey, is of God’s faithfulness…He has never left me nor forsaken me in all my circumstances. Born to a father who was a Pastor and a grandfather who was a Presiding Elder in the A.M.E. Zion church, I grew up in the church. And though I left the traditional church in my college years, I never left the search for Truth. After some years of struggles and stumblings, God revealed His Son and I received salvation. My journey of 26 years has led to service in different capacities within the church:
Music Ministry: psalmist, praise and worship member & leader
· Deaconess Ministry, Helps Ministry, Outreach to Senior Citizens, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Ministry of Creative Arts · Counselor in a Christian women’s therapy group “Breakthrough to Wholeness,” which addressed the specific needs of women who suffered abuse (mentally, physically and sexually). Executive Committee member of the singles ministry “SALT” (Singles Affecting Lives Together) · Full-time church administrative staff I am extremely grateful that in the last several years, My Heavenly Father has restored the joy of my salvation through a deeper revelation of His “Grace.”
Minister Vanester, who is a resident of Clinton, Maryland, has been married for over 39 years to Deacon Rick Williams. Says Minister Vanester, “I just want to be a willing vessel that God can use for His Kingdom building.”
